Sarah Sawyer

Attorney

Sarah Sawyer’s practice is concentrated in land use law and real estate litigation. Sawyer studied at Arizona State University where she received a B.S. in Sociology and a B.S. in Psychology. She then graduated in the top 25% of her class from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 2024. There she worked as an advanced student attorney in the Poverty Law and Policy Clinic, advancing policy-based solutions to the affordable housing and environmental crises in Clark County. During her time in the Clinic, she was able to present an environmental Ordinance she co-authored to an interim committee of the Nevada Legislature. Sawyer received honors for her time as a student advocate and was awarded the Outstanding Clinic Team Award and the Clinical Legal Education Association Award for her dedication to the Clinic.

During her time as a law student, Sawyer was also dedicated to gaining hands-on practice skills outside of the classroom. She began her career at Berry Riddell as a law clerk and assistant land planner in 2021 and since, she has worked on a wide array of land use projects across the Phoenix Metropolitan area and in northern Arizona. She has also assisted on real estate litigation matters, including zoning and constitutional law issues.

Sawyer sat for the July 2024 Arizona Bar Exam and has been admitted into practice in Arizona.
